Barbara Goard

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Lois Goard, a woman whose brilliance was matched only by her generosity and determination.

She was deeply proud of and devoted to her children: Art (Heidi), Cindy (Martin) Grant, Debbie (Tim) Woolacott, Jim (Brenda), Pam (Scott) MacLeod, and Don (Linda).

Barbara cherished her thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Bill, and her daughter, Susan.

Barbara leaves behind a lasting legacy of kindness and hospitality. She took great joy in welcoming family, extended family, and friends—who quickly became family—into her home. Her table was always full, and she made sure there was enough for everyone by “adding one more potato to the pot.”

Family and friends will be received at Legacy Funeral Home, 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie (parking and entrance on Hwy 400 side of building), on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow.

Memorial donation to the May Court Club of Barrie would be appreciated by the family.
