Surrounded by family, Barb passed away at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie after a long battle with cancer on Friday, September 6, 2024 at the age of 63. 

Beloved wife of the late Ronald Lynas. Cherished mother of Christine Lynas (Steve McIntyre), Tracy Lynas (Graham Tutt), Jennifer Lynas, and Ryan Lynas (Erin Cottingham). Loving and devoted Nana to Trinity, Maximus, Kayden, Ayanna, Brody, Kaylee, and Ronald. Dear sister to Colleen Rose, Debbie Haney, and Sandra Broom. Barb will forever be loved and remembered by her many close cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

With an effervescent personality, Barbara was known as the joker among friends and family. She had an exceptional gift for lightening the mood. She had a sharp and affectionate sense of humor.

Beyond her affection for children, Barb held a special place in her heart for dogs and animals of all kinds.

Her absence will be profoundly felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Barbara’s legacy of love, laughter, and joy will continue to inspire those she touched, reminding them to embrace life with unbridled joy and to remember, even in times of sorrow, to laugh and love with all their might. She leaves behind a symphony of cherished memories, each note singing the vibrant love she shared effortlessly through her life.
