Brian Cumming

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian George Cumming on Friday, May 15, 2026 at the age of 71. Brian was a loving husband, proud father, grandfather and a true family man who meant so much to everyone who knew him.

Brian shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with his wife Donna, the love of his life and best friend. Together they built a family filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.

He will be deeply missed by his children Janet and her husband Paul, Jeannie, and Jenny and her husband Grant. Brian was also a proud grandfather to Justin, Jordan, Jadyn, Tyler, and Evan.

He will also be missed by his brothers Larry, Robert and his wife Vera and sister Heather.

Brian loved sports and never missed a chance to cheer on the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was also a huge animal lover, especially when it came to dogs.

Since retirement, it was rare to catch Brian without a Tim Hortons in his hand, he really loved his Timmies!

More than anything, Brian will be remembered for being an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. He was kind, caring, and always there for the people he loved. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie (Parking and Entrance on Hwy 400 side of building) on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 7 - 9 p.m. Tributes and words of remembrance will be shared at 7:30 p.m. by family and friends

Memorial donations to the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society would be appreciated.
