It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce “Buz” Busby at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the age of 86.

As a great storyteller, he possessed the unique ability to weave tales that captivated and entertained, leaving his listeners hanging on to his every word with rapt attention. His generous spirit extended beyond mere companionship; he was ever willing to lend a hand, offering support and guidance to friends and family alike. Whether through his skillful woodworking and carving, the joyful pursuit of golf, or the intriguing thrill of metal detecting along the sandy shores of local beaches, Buz approached each endeavor with enthusiasm, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and perseverance.

A devoted husband to Leona for 63 years; father to Donna Glodziak (Mike), Bruce, Bryan (Angie), and Aaron (Jennifer); grandfather, (affectionately referred to as Buzzy or Gramps); to Cara Wilson (Mark), Maddy, Brett, Devon Peletier (John); great-grandfather to Aidan Wilson, Morgan Peletier, and brother to Martin (Marlene) his love for them was boundless, and he treasured the memories created together, forever a source of joy and warmth. Bruce is predeceased by his parents George and Helen Busby; and siblings George, Ron, and Colleen.

Friends and family will be received at Legacy Funeral Home, 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie (Parking and entrance on Hwy. 400 side of building) on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 10 a.m. until time of Service in the Chapel at 11 o’clock a.m. Reception to follow.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
