Called Home to his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 23, 2026 jus one week shy of his 103rd birthday at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie.

Beloved husband of Emily (nee Gill) for 59 years. Loved father to Bob; Jennifer Patzer (Tim); and Stephanie Thomas (Mark). Cherished grandfather to Juliana, Hadleigh; and step grandfather to Elijah, Nathan, and Emily. Dear brother Norma. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Gertrude Griffith and siblings Jack, Ewart, and Ruth.

Relatives and friends will be received at Legacy Funeral Home, 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie (entrance and parking on Hwy 400 side of building) on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 374 Salem Road, Barrie on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 11 o’clock a.m. Reception to follow. A private family interment will take place later at Midhurst Union Cemetery.
