David Fewster

David Mclean Fewster, 65, of Ivy, ON, passed away at 8:57 am on January 3rd, surrounded by the love and company of his wife, Lori Alison Wright and daughter, Emily Claire Fewster. He was born to parents Donald Levi Fewster and Sharon Ann Fewster (nee Brown) on May 25th, 1960, in Richmond Hill. Since childhood, Dave had strong interests in birding and painting, passions that remained until his final days. He married Lori, the love of his life, in 1992, who survives him. Dave is also survived by his daughter, Emily and partner Eric, and Paul Jeffery Fewster, his brother. He was predeceased by his parents, Don and Sharon Fewster.

Dave was known for his love of nature. He spent his days outdoors, walking around the backyard with his cat, Atty, and tending the gardens and pond. An avid birder, Dave was active with the local Christmas Bird Count and built bird boxes for his local community. He also enjoyed travelling to woodlands and National/Provincial Parks across Ontario to explore the bird and wildlife species. His talent for capturing the natural world in his paintings was breathtaking, and born of a lifelong closeness to the land.

Dave’s celebration of life BBQ will be held around his birthday, May 25th, 2026. The family asks that people make donations to Birds Canada in his memory in lieu of sending flowers.
