David Andrew Ross of Innisfil, known by neighborhood friends and kids as chicken Dave, was born on December 19th, 1966 and sadly passed away on Tuesday October 10, 2023 at Simcoe Hospice Barrie at the age of 56 years.

David leaves behind his loving children daughter Emma and son Tyler Ross of Innisfil and their Mother Lori. He is also survived by his sister Karen {Steve} of Ajax, brother in-law Sean Ryan of Texas sister in-laws Barbara Bush {Mark} of Innisfil, Donna Mclenaghan of Oshawa, and many Nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by his father Donald Ross, mother Mary Ross, brother George Ross, Sister Christine Ryan and father in-law Robert Johnson.

Dave also had a deep love for his furry companions. His Boston Terrier baby Georgia, and grand fur baby Boxer Blue at home and will be greatly missed by them. His 2 other long time Boston Terriers Bailey and Odys are on a long walk with him now.

Throughout his employment history, Dave had worked a 12-year span as a first cook at the Shepard Center Keg in North York, then onto Quebec Printing, where he worked his way from paper handler to pressman to a Master Polisher before the plant closed and the onto his current career as a Heavy equipment operator. No matter what he was doing, Dave tackled every job with enthusiasm and perfected skill. Dave leaves behind a legacy of hard work and dedication. He had a natural magnetism that drew people towards him with his quick wit jokes and funny stories that would keep people entertained.

Emma and Tyler would like to thank all the wonderful nurses and support staff at the Simcoe Hospice Barrie who showed their dad so much compassion and dignity and space allowing for a peaceful passing. They would also like to thank their aunt Karen for staying with them at the hospice and guiding them through that difficult part of the journey.

Cremation has taken place and a service in celebration of his life is to be arranged.

Memorial donations to Stroud Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
