It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Deborah Joanne Muldoon, who died at home surrounded by love after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 60.
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland Deborah carried her roots with pride throughout her life. She was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, Daniel; a deeply cherished mother to her three children, Andrew, Meagan, and Erin; and an incredible grandmother to her beautiful granddaughters, Ayvary and Aryana. Her family was her greatest joy, and her love for them was unwavering and unconditional.
Deborah was the beloved daughter of Margaret and William Keenan (both predeceased); a dear sister to David (predeceased) and his wife, Clare; sister in-law to Shelley; an aunt to Alison and Cassandra; and a great-aunt to Leah. She will be remembered for her strength, warmth, kindness, and the grace with which she faced life’s challenges. Even in her illness, she showed remarkable courage and dignity, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Deborah passed peacefully, surrounded by her family and the love she so generously gave throughout her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever miss her gentle presence and loving spirit.
A celebration of Deborah’s life will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie (parking and entrance on Hwy 400 side of building) on Tuesday, January 13th, from 2:00–5:00 p.m. Visitation will take place from 2:00–3:00 p.m, followed by the ceremony. The family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Ontario SPCA and Humane Society Muskoka Animal Centre.
Rest in peace, Deborah. You are deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
