Gerald "Fish" Fogarty

Gerald "Fish" Fogarty, born on May 27, 1948, in Sydney, Nova Scotia, passed away suddenly in Vaughan, Ontario on Friday, July 25, 2025 at the age of 77. A dedicated family man and skilled pipe fitter. Fish spent his career with Local 46, where his hard work and commitment were well-regarded by his colleagues.

An esteemed member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Fish also proudly served in the Royal Canadian Air Force, demonstrating his dedication to his country. Beyond his professional and military endeavors, he embraced life with enthusiasm, especially evident in his treasured hobbies. A devoted fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, he found joy in cheering for the team, spending countless afternoons immersed in the game.

Fish's interests extended to golfing, where many cherished memories were created on the greens, and dancing, which allowed him to express his vibrant spirit. He was known for his warm and inviting personality, always eager to socialize with friends and family, creating connections that enriched his life. As a proud Nova Scotian, Fish's roots were an important part of his identity, and he carried the values of his upbringing throughout his life. His legacy will continue through the memories he created and the lives he touched along his journey.

Beloved husband of Mary Brufatto. Predeceased by his parents Helen and Breezer; daughter Nicole; brother Billy; and sister Anne. Gerald is survived by his siblings Myrna, Jen, Carmella, and Daniel; daughters, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

As per his wishes there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
