Haziz Rahman

Haziz Rahman passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, at home surrounded by his family.

Haziz was a devoted husband to his wife Kulsum of 56 years. He is also survived by his children: Melissa Williams, Cindy O’Brien, Haziz Rahman Jr., and Candice Mayers.

He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Nikita Williams, Simone Kormos, Isaiah Rahman, Jace O’Brien, Isaac O’Brien, Malayah Rahman, Payton Mayers, and Reeve Mayers. He is further remembered with love by his great-grandchildren, Ryla and Landon.

Haziz was hardworking, someone who never shied away from hard work and who genuinely enjoyed a challenge. Family was always central to his life; he was deeply proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and his love was shown through steady support, guidance, and presence. Haziz was also a man of strength, character, and integrity, quietly confident, reliable, and true to his word, the kind of person you could always count on, and whose respect and admiration he earned from those around him.

Relatives and friends will be received at Legacy Funeral Home, 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie (Parking and Entrance on Hwy 400 side of building) on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 from 12 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 o'clock p.m. Reception to follow.
