Hugh, the son of Hugh and June Rose Cameron was a loving husband to Nancy, a dedicated father of three sons, Mark (Sean), Rob (Rosie) and Paul (Sandy) and a proud grandfather of five beautiful grandchildren, Thomas, Kai, Luke, Talise and Didier. Throughout his career, Hugh achieved remarkable milestones, such as Canadian Olympic Marathon Coach in 1984, Canadian Marathon Coach for the World Track and Field Championships in 2009 and being on teams involved in various international competitions in Japan, Italy, Venezuela and Germany. He coached all levels from Olympic athletes to recreational runners who competed all over the US and Canada as well as many other countries. All that mattered to him was their commitment to the training required to being the best they could be. He also made a lasting impact as a longtime coach of the Etobicoke Huskies Striders and Newmarket Huskies Track Clubs, encouraging and influencing many athletes.
