Jennifer Jones

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Jennifer Jones, on March 15, 2026, at the age of 54. She passed away surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jennifer was predeceased by her husband, John (“Jack”) Robert Hamilton; her father, Wayne Jones; and her sister, Robin Celeste.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons Jonathan, Joshua, and Justin; her mother, Dianne Newton, and stepfather Larry Newton; her brother Paul Jones( Sandy Jones); her sister Michelle Knowles (Steven Knowles); and her brother-in-law Scott Celeste. She will also be deeply missed by the Wolf family, as well as her many friends and coworkers from Delta Bingo.

Jennifer brought joy wherever she went. She loved karaoke, dancing, camping, darts, games, and bingo—especially the laughter and friendships that came with them. She had a great sense of humor, enjoyed true crime shows, delicious food, and cherished her fun times with Jonathan in Niagara Falls.

The kindness and support of her friends during her illness meant so much to her and brought comfort throughout her time in the hospital.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the incredible team on the 6th floor (palliative care) at Southlake Health Hospital for their compassion, respect, and exceptional care during Jennifer’s final days. We also thank Matt Drury at Legacy Funeral Home for his guidance and support during this difficult time.

Jennifer will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.

A celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held at the Army Navy Club, 52 Morrow Road, Barrie, on May 9, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. All who knew and loved Jennifer are welcome to attend.

Jennifer’s favorite colour was purple—guests are invited to wear purple in her honour.
