Jessie Teresa Clow (Hermer)May 5, 1936 – March 19, 2026Jessie passed away peacefully at Muskoka Shores Long Term Care Home in Gravenhurst Ontario on March 19, 2026, with her loving and caring family by her side at the age of 89. Born in Ardoch, Ontario on May 5, 1936, to parents William and Gertrude, Jessie moved to Peterborough and later married Harold Clow on July 14, 1962, having been married fifty-four years at the time of Harold’s passing. A dedicated community volunteer, she spent years canvassing her neighborhood to raise funds for the March of Dimes and other charities and was a frequent volunteer for the Peterborough Half Marathon. Known for her resilience and spirit, her true strength was in the way she cared and loved her family. Jessie was our fierce protector and our gentlest caretaker. She created a world where her children and grandchildren always felt safe, seen and deeply loved. An avid gardener, quilter and baker, her love for her family was often expressed in cookies, brownies, cakes, pies, and holiday treats. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Muskoka Shores for their exceptional care and compassion. She is survived by her sons and their families, Jon and his wife Elise and Jamie and his wife Elizabeth and her grandchildren Jesse, Emma-Rose, Sophia, Lincoln, Rebecca and Victoria Brothers: Arnold, Bill, and their families; sisters Eileen, Helen, Lenore, and their families. Predeceased by her parents William and Gertrude; brothers Ralph, Clarence; sisters Esther and  Mary. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario.
