John Brown

John Brown passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie at the age of 82.

John will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 25 years, Elaine. He was a proud and caring father to his son, Ian Brown (Wendy), and a cherished grandfather to Audrey, Michael, Alexandra, and Ashley, who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by his brothers, Russell and Norman Brown.

John will be fondly remembered by his friends and extended family, including his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Judie Silver (Conrad), John Prisk (Carol), Diane Rew, Steve Prisk (Dawn), Lynn Burton (Terry), Sherry Riley (Wayne), Joanne Tuck, Rosie Menard (John), and Manny Ajayi.

A selfless, kind, and caring man, John touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a loving husband and a dedicated family man who especially treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or simple moments together, those times meant the world to him.

John also had a passion for golf and could often be found enjoying the game he loved, appreciating both the sport and the companionship it brought.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for his family.

A Celebration of John’s life will be held at Tangle Creek Golf and Country Club, 4730 Side Road 25, Thornton on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 12 to 4 p.m.

Memorial donations to Hudson Cancer Centre at RVH would be appreciated by the family.
