Kayla Johnston

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend, Kayla Johnston, on June 5, 2026, at the age of 29.

Kayla was a true warrior who faced a lifetime of medical challenges with incredible strength, courage, and determination. Despite her struggles, she lived with a kind and generous heart, always putting others before herself and offering support, laughter, and friendship to those around her.

Kayla loved spending time with family and friends, making memories, sharing meals, and enjoying life's simple moments. She had a special gift for connecting with people and touched countless lives with her warmth, compassion, and beautiful spirit.

She leaves behind her loving parents, Leigh Ann and Scott Johnston; her siblings, Courtney, Cameron, and Carter; her brother-in-law, Pearce; her cherished grandparents, Irene and Dave Rose and Lorraine and Bill Johnston; as well as her Aunts, Uncles , cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Kayla is finally free from the pain she endured for so long. Her strength, love, and legacy will live on in all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be on June 21 from 1-4 pm at The Ferndale Banquet Hall at 24 Ferndale Industrial Drive Barrie,Ont
