Lawrence Philip Wright

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Larry Wright on May 18, surrounded by the love of his family.

Larry was the beloved husband of Cheryl Wright (née Mann) for 46 years and a proud father to Jason Wright and Margaret Emerson of Tottenham, Kim Wright and Cesar Melendez of Barrie, and Courtney Wright and Mark Campbell of Cambridge.

He was a cherished grandfather to Preston, Olivia, and Hannah, who brought him immense pride and joy.

Larry was a dear brother to Jim and Angie of Peterborough and Steve of Peterborough.

He was predeceased by his parents, George and Molly; his parents-in-law, Jack and Irene; his brother John; and his sister Beverly.

Larry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A friend to everyone he met, he was truly a stranger to none. He enjoyed camping, fixing his cars, and riding motorcycles in his younger years, and over the years found simple joy in walking his dogs.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Simcoe.
