Linda Ann McConnell

Linda passed peacefully at Hospice Simcoe on 26 March 2026. Beloved wife of Lee Davis. Born in Bridgewater N.S. to Eric and Hilda McConnell [Wynot]. During the war, Linda and her mother resided in Mahone Bay N.S. with Linda’s maternal grandparents as Linda’s father was in the Canadian Army. After the war the family moved to Ontario where her father’s employment took them to many locations.

She graduated from Ryerson P.I. [now T.M.U.] in 1968 and attended the Faculty of Education at U.of T.

After graduation she taught at Barrie Central Collegiate for 31 years. In retirement she continued her interest in genealogy, gardening, her exercise classes and travelling.

She is survived by her cousins Michael Lackey [Leslie] of St. Louis Mo, Charles McConnell [Patti] of Calgary AB, Dale Hendry [Jim] of Toronto ON and Gail Meyer [Bob] of St. Catharines, ON.

Predeceased by cousins Mark Lackey, Grant McConnell and John Couch.

Also survived by sisters-in-law Lynne Burke [Malcolm], Cathy Farintosh [Jim] and Sue Hunt [Steve].
