LORRAINE ELIZABETH KOCOT

June 11, 1958 - June 21, 2026

Lorraine Elizabeth Kocot, aged 68, passed away peacefully at the Simcoe Hospice, Barrie on Sunday, June 21, 2026. She is predeceased by mother Elizabeth father George and brother Bill. She will be missed by her husband Stan, daughter Cheryl, Son-in-law Cesar, Step-son Dan, grandchildren Olivia and Jack, Brother Gary, Sister-in-Law Penny, Brother Greg, Brother Glen, Wayne, sister-in-law Mill, Sister-in-law Doreen, Nephews Adrian, Michael and Reggie, Nieces Lisa, Leanne, and Claire, Aunt Jean, many loving cousins, and countless dear close friends.

Lorraine was the most positive and happy-go-lucky person that you could ever meet. She was full of energy and love and wanted to share it with everyone she met.

She was a loving mother, a softball player, a nurse, a writer of children’s books, a lover of animals, and going for long walks. She loved her long “walk a-bouts” that she would go on every day. She was a strong woman who went after her dreams, and there was no stopping her.

If you were lucky enough to know Lorraine, then you know that she was truly one of a kind, and there will never be anyone else like her.

She would want nothing more than all of her family and friends to gather and share stories of all the good memories that they shared with her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie (parking and entrance on Hwy 400 side of building), Barrie on Sunday July 5th, 2026 from 1pm-4pm with family and close friends.
