Merelyn Allan

Born in Toronto on January 24, 1934 Merelyn passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Grove Park Home, Barrie in her 91st year.  

Merelyn was a loving wife and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Merelyn's passion for gardening, interior decorating, and amazing talent in golfing brought immense joy to her life. She found solace and beauty in nature and spending time on the golf course, where she could unwind and connect with family and friends.

Above all, Merelyn cherished her family. Being the last remaining matriarch of her generation, she  took great pride in creating a warm and loving atmosphere for her family either at her home, cottage or when visiting. Her dedication to her loved ones was unwavering, and her legacy of love, care and guidance will continue to live on through them.

Merelyn is predeceased by her husband Stewart and survived by her sons Kirk Allan (Shauna), and Brad Allan (Catharine); grandchildren Sean, Katherine, late Brent, Lucas (Megan), Derek (Korina), Mackenzie; and great grandchildren Melila, Zoey, Noah, Scarlet and Luna. She will be deeply missed by many cousins, extended family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
