Michael Sioui

Michael Sioui passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

Mike was born in Saint-Agathe-des-Monts in the Laurentians on August, 4, 1961. Mike was the beloved husband of Barb for 40 wonderful years. He was a devoted and proud father to Megan, Jeremy (Laura), and Erin (Roman). Mike’s family was the centre of his life, and he took great joy in sharing time, lots of laughter, and many adventures with them. Mike will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered not only by his immediate family, but also by extended family and friends whose lives he touched.

Mike’s love of music, concerts, skiing, camping, travelling, and the Montreal Canadiens was shared with those he loved and continues with his children. Known for his great sense of humour, Mike will be remembered for his warmth, his stories, and the pride he felt for his family.

His family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Hospice Simcoe for the care and kindness shown to Mike and his loved ones.

Friends will be received at Legacy Funeral Home, 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie (Parking and entrance on Hwy 400 side of building) on Monday, March 16, 2026 from 10 a.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice Simcoe would be appreciated by the family.
