Mike Cooper

It is with sadness that the family of Michael Cooper announce his passing on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie at the age of 71.

Beloved husband of Rita Cooper, Michael was a devoted partner and cherished friend. He was a loving brother to George Cooper (Doris), Peter Cooper (Donna Durnford), Diane Neilsen, and Cindy Smith. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Michael spent many years as a barber, a profession he took great pride in. Through his work, he formed lasting friendships and touched the lives of countless people in his community. His warm personality, sense of humour, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends will remember Michael for his kindness, dedication, and the many memories shared throughout the years. A Memorial Service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie (Parking and entrance on Hwy 400 side of building) on Wednesday, June 16, 2026 at 1:30 p.m.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Lung Association and would be appreciated by the family.
