It is with profound sorrow and deep love that we announce the passing of Priscilla Gladys Tabbert (nee MacMeekin) at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the age of 83.
Priscilla possessed a vibrant spirit and a loving nature that drew people towards her. She was funny and sweet, and she had an unwavering love for her family, particularly for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and laughter into her life. She was also very proud of her children and loved them wholeheartedly.
Outside of her family, you could often find Priscilla absorbed in a good book, admiring her garden, watching the birds, or engaging her mind with crossword puzzles.
Priscilla’s warm personality and dedication to those she loved will be dearly missed. She leaves behind a legacy filled with treasured memories that will live on in the hearts of her family.
Beloved wife of Frank, the love of her life, for 62 years. Loved mother of Susan Catlin (Jeffery), Lorri Ann Tabbert (Dennis Herron), and the late Jennifer Tabbert. Cherished grandmother to Brandon Oevering (Vanessa), Crysta Oevering (Chris Day), Nicole O’Connell (Vincent), and Kyle Catlin. Great grandmother to Reilynn Oevering, Gracelyn Oevering, Emma-Leigh Day, Kingsley Day, and Bentley Day. Dear sister to Ron MacMeekin (Mary), John MacMeekin (Nancy), and Linda MacMeekin. Priscilla will be forever loved and remembered by extended family and friends.
As we remember her life, we celebrate a remarkable woman who always made time for her loved ones and left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A Celebration of Priscilla’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Alzheimer Society or RVH Foundation would be appreciated.
