Raissa SOUKATCHEVA

Born: 9 September 1936

Died: 18 July 2023

Raissa passed away on 18 July 2023 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie at the age of 86. 

She was a loving mother to her daughter Anna, her grand children Alexander, Nikita, and Anton, and great grand daughter Polina. 

To her daughter Elena and her husband Pavel and her grand children Pavel and Alisa and her great grand children Misha, Nina, and Maxim. 

To her son Konstantin and his wife Rishma and her grandson Aleksey. 

Raissa was born in Odessa, Ukraine. She became a paediatrician and remained in the medical field for most of her life. 

Raissa brought her family to Canada in 1992 and settled in Ottawa Ontario. 

She was a kind, loving, and gentle soul. She loved all animals and plants and regardless of where she lived, her home always looked like a green oasis filled with flowers. 

She was a very proud Canadian. She loved this country dearly and always made it a point to defend it when someone had something negative to say. 

Raissa was a devoted Christian. Her faith in God was guiding and helping her throughout her life. She never lost faith and was praying until the very end. 

She had a long, fruitful life and everyone who knew her is left with many wonderful memories. 

She completed her God given mission on earth and moved on to the eternal life in heaven. 

Rest in Peace Mama, may God be with you!

We know in our hearts that we will be with you again, one day.
