Reina Veronica Mena Cruz

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Reina Veronica Mena Cruz, who passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the age of 74.

Reina was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the proud mother of Errol, Hannya, Saydy, Harry, Jurgen, and Mayte Porta Mena. She will be lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was the daughter of the late Julio Mena Rojas and Theodora Cruz Morgan, and was predeceased by her siblings Marlene Mena Cruz, Edgar Mena Cruz, Jesús Maria Mena Cruz, and Vilma Mena Cruz.

Reina will be dearly missed by her surviving siblings Bianca Mena Cruz, Julio Mena Cruz, Gloria Mena Cruz, Jeaneth Mena Cruz, and Domingo Mena Cruz, along with her extended family and all those whose lives she touched.

Reina came to Canada in 2019, where she continued her life's journey surrounded by family and loved ones.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 65 Amelia Street, Barrie, on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Barrie.
