Rev. Keith E. Boyer
October 7th, 1941 – August 30th, 2025
The family of Keith Boyer are deeply saddened to share the news of his unexpected death on Saturday, August 30th, 2025. Keith will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn, his brother Tom and family, sister-in-law Evelyn, sister-in-law Doreen and family, and children Andrea; Jasmine, Jacob and Jordan, Tobey and Hans; Madeleine and Matt and great-grandson Ollie and new great-grandchild arriving soon, Jonah and Glea, Naomi, Kristin; Winter.
Keith, a Presbyterian minister since 1966, carried his ministry to four churches from Dalhousie, New Brunswick, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Scarborough, Ontario, and Thunder Bay, Ontario. As well, he was part of the ministry staff at The Riverside Church in NYC, and, prior to retirement in 2006, was the Mission Consultant for the Synod of Central, Northeastern Ontario and Bermuda. Keith and Carolyn have made Barrie, Ontario their home for 25 years and Keith continued to be active in the Barrie Presbytery and St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Keith and Carolyn enjoyed travelling to visit family and friends in the States, family trips to the East Coast, and time together with their children, grandchildren, and the special joy of becoming great-grandparents. Keith’s lifelong passions for Lionel trains, train travel, stamp collecting, gardening, musical theatre, opera, astronomy, and jogging, remained with him to his final days.
A Service of Witness to the Resurrection to celebrate Keith’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Orillia, Ontario on Saturday, September 20th at 1pm.
