Robert Campbell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of W. Robert Campbell, at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the age of 84.

Robert was the beloved husband of Carolyn (née Martin), with whom he shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. He was a loving and devoted father to Andrew (Jennifer) and Emily, and a very proud grandfather to Carter and Curtis.

A lifelong farmer, Robert took great pride in the land and the farming life he loved. He had a special fondness for tractors and could often be found talking about them, working with them, or simply enjoying the sight of them. Above all, though, Robert loved his family. His greatest pride and joy came from the time he spent with Carolyn, his children, grandchildren, and extended family.

He will be dearly missed by his siblings, Phyllis Horne (the late Charles), Jim (Sheila), and Dave (the late Jim McKenna). Robert was predeceased by his brother-in-law Howard Martin (Madelene).

Robert will be remembered with love by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends, all of whom will cherish the memories they shared with him.

His love of family, farming, and the simple things that brought him joy will be fondly remembered. His kindness, quiet strength, and generous spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Family and friends will be received at Legacy Funeral Home, 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie (entrance and parking on Hwy 400 side of building) on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 6–9 p.m. and on Saturday, September 5, 2026 from 1–4 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church, 550 Grove Street East, Barrie, on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 2 o'clock p.m., with reception to follow. A private interment has taken place at Guthrie Cemetery.

Memorial donations to First Baptist Church or Oro World's Fair would be appreciated by the family.
