Robert (“Bob”) Keith Martin was born January 4, 1944 in Picton, Ontario to Keith and Phyllis. Bob’s early years in Picton were enjoyed with his sister Carolyn (Leach). He played hockey and baseball when not out driving cars on the beach. Bob moved to Toronto for university where he studied Civil Engineering at Ryerson. Bob moved to London, Ontario to start his career and his family. He, and Lynn, taught their daughter, Becky (Henry), to skate in the backyard before moving to Wasaga Beach, and later Collingwood. Bob enjoyed sailing at Collingwood Yacht Club and skiing at Toronto Ski Club. He earned his Level 3 through the Canadian Ski Instructor’s Alliance as well as his Level 2 through the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation. He served as an examiner instilling his passion in new generations of instructors but also with Becky and his grandsons, Ryne and Bodie. His memory will be kept alive by his family who he loved beyond words. Donations, instead of flowers, to Ryne and Bodie’s efforts in the Ride to Conquer Cancer (www.ride2conquer.ca) are appreciated. Hugs and memories are welcomed by those who loved him most.
