Rodger Dadswell

December 17, 1955 — April 28, 2026

Rodger Dadswell passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Southlake Health in Newmarket, Ontario, surrounded by the love of his family.

Beloved husband of Renee Dadswell, Rodger was a devoted father to Jessica Dadswell (Luke Marshall) and Meghan. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Nathan and Maddax Marshall, who brought him immense joy.

Rodger will be deeply missed by his siblings: Rod Dadswell (Sheila), Rob Dadswell (Meg), and Randy Dadswell. He was predeceased by his parents, Edna and Roy Dadswell, and his brother Reggie.

He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, as well as by the countless dogs and cats he adored throughout his life.

Rodger dedicated many years of his life to a long and hardworking career as a courier driver with both UPS and FedEx. Outside of work, he had a deep passion for sports and staying active. Over the years, he was involved in lacrosse, broomball, ball hockey, golf, and baseball. Most recently, he found great enjoyment curling at the Barrie Curling Club, where he and Renee met and built many cherished, lifelong friendships.

Rodger’s warmth, bad sense of humor, and love for family, friends who became family, and animals will be remembered by all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he created.

He will be dearly missed and forever remembered. A Celebration of Rodger’s life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 1-4 p.m. at the Barrie Curling Club, 175 Essa Road, Barrie.

Memorial donations to the RVH Dialysis Clinic or the Barrie Curling Club Scholarship Fund would be appreciated by the family.
