The world has lost a radiant spirit with the passing of Roslynn (Roz) Marie Davies, life partner to Evan Trapp of almost 30 years, and loving mother to her two greatest accomplishments, Devon and Kai.

She was the cherished daughter of Jean Norman (Bobby), John Davies, and daughter in law to Pat and Garry Best. Proud sister to Kurt (Andrea) Davies and Kyle (Jill) Davies. Sister-in-law to Keith Ryan and predeceased by her sister-in-law Maggie Best.

Auntie to Jackson, Parker, Alayna, Holly, Bailey, Summer, Talon and Mackenzie, and many aunts, uncles and cousins on both the Davies and Evans’ families.

She was a source of laughter, light, and boundless affection to all who knew her.

Roz lived her life with an unmistakable sense of adventure. She believed deeply in living in the moment, building memories, and embracing life as it comes.

Her presence could shift a room: quick to laugh, a beautiful smile, life of the party, and always ready with her saucy antics that made others feel alive. She enjoyed playing sports, curling, wakeboarding, cross country skiing, running and anything that involved a boat. She also spent many hours at the arena, where she loved watching her children excel at hockey.

A certified hairstylist and yoga instructor, Roslynn later found peace and purpose in helping others discover their own sense of grounding and spirituality. Teaching and practicing yoga daily brought her joy and a connection that brought her meaning. A passion that is also shared by her daughter Devon.

Her life, though heartbreakingly short, was marked by extraordinary courage. Roslynn faced breast cancer with unwavering bravery and later endured a painful battle with bone cancer. Even in her most difficult moments, she worried about others more than herself.

She made sure everyone knew how proud she was of her children Devon and Kai, her life’s greatest achievements and she never missed an opportunity to remind people how deeply she loved them.

Rosie leaves behind a vibrant legacy of love, laughter, and fierce sense of adventure. She will be remembered for her spontaneity, her warmth, her spiritual depth, and her ability to make every person feel seen and valued.

Her family and friends will carry her memory forward in every adventure, every shared laugh, and every moment lived with intention, just as she taught them.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Nurse Tammy Crawley, Dr. Rask, Dr. Lai and their teams for the compassionate care with Roslynn throughout this journey.

A celebration of life will take place at the Knights of Columbus Hall-Barrie, 93 Berczy St, Barrie, ON L4M 3R2 Friday, August 7th from 11am-3:00pm

Roz would love for you to try a yoga session in her honour.
