It is with heavy hearts that we remember Russell Randolph "Rusty" Myers, who passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, at the age of 57.

Rusty will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Harry Myers and Joan Myers Gagnon; his sisters, Shelly Butcher and Debbie LaLonde; his cherished nieces, Lydie LaLonde and Hannah Butcher; as well as his extended family and many friends.

Rusty was a kind, thoughtful, and gentle man who found joy in life's simple pleasures. He took great pride in caring for his car, and it was not uncommon to see him outside in the evening carefully polishing it until it gleamed. During the winter months, he found satisfaction in methodically plowing the driveway after every snowfall, taking pride in a job well done.

Music was a constant source of comfort and enjoyment throughout Rusty's life. He also loved watching a wide variety of movies, appreciating everything from action and comedy to timeless classics. These simple pleasures brought him happiness and reflected his quiet appreciation for everyday life.

Rusty was proud of his career in security, where he earned the rank of CPL (corporal) working for commissioners. He was respected for his dedication, professionalism, and dependable nature, always approaching his work with integrity and commitment.

Those who knew Rusty will remember his quiet strength, caring heart, and gentle spirit. Though he never sought attention, his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Rusty's memory will live on in every freshly fallen snowfall, every polished car, every favorite song, and every good movie. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Rest peacefully, dear Rusty. Your work here is done, your journey is complete, and your memory will continue to live on in all of us who were fortunate enough to know and love you.

We love you, and we will never forget you.

Family and friends will be received at Legacy Funeral Home. 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie (parking and entrance on Hwy 400 side of building) on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 1 to 4 p.m. If so inclined, donations in memory of Rusty to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
