In Loving Memory of SARAH MACHADO 

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sarah on Friday, October 2, 2026 at the age of 44. 

Sarah was the devoted wife of Chris Machado and the loving mother of Julia and Lucas who were the center of her world and the cherished daughter of Cathy and Mike Ross. Sarah will be deeply missed by her family including her Aunt Judy Vaughan, Aunt Darlene Thompson, cousin Keri Bednar and husband Mike and children Olivia and Mia and sisters Natasha and Jackie Ross and her in laws Joao and Fatima Machado. 

During her career with the TDSB, Sarah was a beloved teacher who cared deeply about her students and took great pride in helping them learn, grow and believe in themselves. To her colleagues she was a valued teammate and friend. And to those fortune enough to call her a friend, she was someone who brought kindness, warmth and laughter into their lives. 

Above all, Sarah was a devoted mother and wife. Her love for Chris, Julia and Lucas was at the heart of everything she did.Her family was her greatest accomplishment and the love she gave them will continue to live on in them every day. Though Sarah's time with us was not long enough, the love and memories she leaves behind will remain forever and she will be missed by all who knew her. 

The family would like to extend their deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to Hospice Simcoe in Barrie for the extraordinary compassion, care and dignity they provided to Sarah and her family throughout her journey. Their kindness and support brought comfort during an incredibly difficult time and will never be forgotten. We are also grateful to Amanda Mar for setting up the GO Fund Me notification and thankful for all of the donations that allowed Sarah to be part of a cancer trial that gave us many more months to be with her. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 521, 115 Black Street Bradford Ontario L3Z 1W7 on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 11 AM to 3 PM. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Simcoe in Barrie would be appreciated.
