August 8, 1960 – August 5, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Susan Board, a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter and grandmother, who left us peacefully on August 5, 2025, just three days before her 65th birthday.

Born in Barrie, Ontario, Susan was the heart of her family, loving, and full of grace. She was a devoted wife to Chris, and together they built a life rooted in love and laughter.

Susan was a proud and nurturing mother to Anthony, Nicholas, Sherri-Lee, Charles, Christopher, Melissa, and Curtis. Her children were her world, and she poured her heart into raising them with kindness, strength, and endless love. She was also a cherished grandmother to Lily, Sophia, Aubrey, Travis, Gwynn, Evelynn, and Madelynn, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Susan was known for her strong will. She faced life’s challenges with determination and resilience, always standing up for what she believed in and fiercely protecting those she loved.

She had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures — baking sweet treats for her loved ones, browsing shops for little treasures, building LEGO sets and spending unhurried time with her children, sisters and husband, laughing, talking, and simply being together. It was in these everyday moments that Susan felt most herself and most at peace.

Her legacy lives on in the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the family she helped build. She will be remembered for her strength, her strong will, and open arms.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Legacy Funeral Home, 55 Cedar Point Drive, Barrie, Ontario (Entrance and Parking on Hwy 400 side of building). Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Susan’s life.

Susan will rest peacefully with her beloved son, Christopher.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved
