Terry Leigh

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terry Roland Leigh, on May 26th, 2026, at the age of 74, with his family by his side at Hospice Simcoe.

Loving husband and best friend to Sophie Leigh (Grom), devoted father to his daughter Samantha (Reid) and beloved brother to William (Doreen). He was deeply fond of his many nieces and nephews. Terry treasured time spent with his friends and family, sharing memories as the family historian, and laughing with friends as the group interviewer and comedian. He will be deeply missed by all.

Terry was a passionate photographer and videographer who loved his work in community television for many years at Rogers TV. Terry will be remembered for his precision and dedication to his work, but even more so for his warm and engaging nature, and his ability to make everyone he encountered feel like they were special. In the search for consciousness, Terry found that making a difference where your feet are is what led to a life fulfilled, a life of curiosity, love and listening.

Terry's family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the Nurses, Doctors and staff of the RVH Cancer Centre, Hospice Simcoe and Saint Elizabeth Health Care.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Terry’s memory to Hospice Simcoe or the cause of your choice.

Instead of a formal service, a Celebration of Life will be held in the coming weeks. Family, friends, colleagues and Tralfalfadorians are welcome to attend.
