Wayne Shelswell

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Wayne Barry Shelswell on May 18, 2025, just after his 79th birthday. Born on May 15, 1946, Wayne’s greatest joy was found in the outdoors, alone or with his family and friends by his side. Family will always remember his sense of humour and his passion for nature.

Wayne is survived by his cherished partner of 22 years, Pam Beacock, and his first wife of 32 years, Carol. He was a loving father to Dwayne (Renai) and Jason (Josie), and a devoted stepfather to Darryl, Tammy (Michael), and Amanda (Darryl). He enjoyed family dinners and camping with his 10 grandchildren. He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his sister, Doreen (Merv) and was predeceased by his brothers, Harold (Betty) and Gerry (Viv).

The family welcomes sharing stories at his celebration.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at ODAS Park, 4500 Fairgrounds Road, Severn ON.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Furry Friends Cat Rescue in Wayne’s honour or Empower Simcoe, supporting an inclusive community for all abilities.
