William Hudson Fraser
March 1, 1941 – June 24, 2025
With his family by his side, Bill Fraser passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, in his 84th year.
Bill lived a full and generous life. He was a devoted husband, a proud dad, and a deeply loved grandfather and great-grandfather. Known affectionately by his fellow tire workers as “The Oldest Tire Man,” Bill spent many years working in tractor trailer tire service—a job he took pride in and where he built lasting friendships.
He is survived by his loving wife Jean, his partner of 62 years. Bill met Jean when he was just 20 years old, and their love and commitment to each other were the foundation of their close-knit family.
He was a proud father to: Karen (Dan), Wendy (Bruce), and Rick.
Cherished grandfather to: Kristen (KJ), Shannon (Phil), Jennifer (Brad), Justin, Michael, and Dylan (Paycea).
Loving great-grandfather to: Ella, Emerson, Garrett, and one little one on the way.
Bill was the son of the late Hugh Hudson Fraser and Marion Fraser. He was part of a large and loving family, many of whom predeceased him.
He is remembered by his siblings and their spouses:
The late Phyllis (and the late Gordon), Don (and the late Helen), the late Harvey (and the late Pat), the late Lorin, the late Allister (Marilyn), Mary (Lawrence), Margie (Gary), Anna (Colin), Judy (Gord), and Eileen (and the late Mike).
Bill was also a brother-in-law to:
the late Barbara, the late Isabel (and the late Jim), the late Margaret, the late Anna (and the late Eddie), and the late Catherine (and the late John).
He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In his retirement, Bill found joy in the simple things—watching hockey, tending to his garden, and spending peaceful hours birdwatching. He especially loved his daily walks with Copper and the many dogs who came before.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to all the nurses and doctors who cared for Bill over the years, especially those at RVH in his final days. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held.
Bill will be missed dearly, and remembered always with love.
