William "Will" Gunn

March 2, 1993 — June 3, 2026

William Gunn, beloved husband, Daddy, son, son in-law, brother in-law, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June, 3, 2026 at the age of 33.

Born in Orillia, Ontario, on March 2, 1993, William was the cherished son of Debra and Brian.

William was the devoted and faithful husband of Samantha and the proud Daddy of Mattiayh, Tevyn, Meiika, Kyuss, Kourtlynd, and Layker. His wife and children were the center of his world, and nothing brought him greater pride or joy than being their husband and father.

Known for his sharp mind and endless collection of facts, William seemed to have an answer for everything. Whether the information was practical, obscure, or somewhere in between, he loved sharing what he knew and was always eager to learn more. He had a passion for music, playing guitar, sports (football and disc golf), gaming, movies, UFC and he loved cooking for his family on the smoker all while throwing a ball with his children.

William’s sense of humour could light up any room. He had a gift for making people laugh, even during difficult times. He saw the good in people, looked beyond their flaws, and cared deeply for those around him. His kindness, intelligence, and ability to connect with others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Above all else, William will be remembered for the love he gave so freely. His presence was larger than life, and the memories he created with his family and friends will be treasured forever.

William leaves behind his loving wife, Samantha; his six children, Mattiayh, Tevyn, Meiika, Kyuss, Kourtlynd, and Layker; his parents, Debra and Brian; his in-laws Ave and Jaymz; his best friend Shakr and many other family members and friends who will miss him beyond words.

The silence left by William’s passing is already deeply felt. His wife misses his smile, his laughter, his intelligence, his touch and the comfort of simply having him beside her. His children miss their daddy’s voice, his hugs, his jokes, advice and the love he gave them every day. He was an amazing Daddy.

Though their hearts are broken, they will carry his love with them always.Though his time with us was far too short, the love, laughter, and memories he leaves behind will endure forever.

Family and friends will be recieved at Legacy Funeral Home, 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie (Parking and Entrance on Hwy 400 side of building) on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 from 1 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. Service will be held in the Chapel at 3 o'clock p.m.
