Careers at Legacy
Meaningful work. Compassionate Service. A team comitted to families
At Legacy Funeral and Cremation Services, we believe funeral service is about much more than the details of arranging a funeral. It is about caring for people during some of the most difficult days of their lives.
As a locally owned and operated funeral home, our team works closely together to provide families with compassionate, respectful and transparent care. We value people who are dependable, willing to serve, attentive to the little things and committed to treating every family as we would want our own family treated.
Whether you are an experienced funeral professional, a student beginning a career in funeral service, or someone who has never considered funeral service before, there may be a place for your skills and experience at Legacy.
Our Culture & Values
Families Come First
Every family who walks through our doors deserves our full attention, compassion and respect. We never want families to feel rushed, pressured or like just another number.
Serve With Compassion
Funeral service often means meeting people on one of their hardest days. Kindness, patience and a willingness to help matter here.
Be Dependable
Families and coworkers need to know they can count on us. Showing up, following through and communicating well are important parts of being on our team.
Work Together
Funeral service is a team effort. Every member of our staff contributes to the care and experience a family receives.
Do the Right Thing
We believe in honesty, transparency and treating people fairly. Those principles guide both how we care for families and how we work with one another.
Be Willing to Learn
Funeral service involves continual learning. We value people who ask questions, accept direction and want to become better at what they do.
What is it Like to Work in Funeral Service?
Funeral service involves many different roles and skills. Some members of our team work directly with families making arrangements, while others assist with transfers, funeral services and visitations, preparation and care of deceased persons, administration, transportation and the many details that happen behind the scenes.
Some positions require professional licensing or specialized education, while others can be learned through training and experience.
